Welcome to the Andela Community! 😄

This page will help you get started as a new member. We care about all members of our community and know exactly how difficult it is to get started. So if you're having trouble with any steps in this wiki, or you don't know how to proceed, send an email directly to [email protected] and he'll help you out.

First Steps:

• Join the Andela Open Source slack team. That's where we do all our communication around projects. Go ahead and introduce yourself!
• If you haven't yet, go check out the Community Roles page to learn about how the community is structured and what your future with us could look like.
• Look through our Project Proposals and ask questions, make suggestions, or volunteer to become a crewmember by commenting on the issue. The project captain will then let you know how you can get started.
• Begin learning about and contributing to open source projects.
• Contact an Andela Mentor to get advice, or just to introduce yourself.
• Edit this wiki wherever things were not crystal clear for you, so that others after you don't have to go through the same hurdles.
