Coming from a time zone that is ahead of pretty much the rest of the world, I expected to see my home town at the top of the list, since the rest of the world is behind us ;-).

This adds a small documentation note on how to reverse the sort order, for others with the same expectation.

Good point. Thanks for this! Let's make it a little easier for users and offer a customization. I've just pushed 81d5a60

You can now do:

(setq time-zones-sorting-function 'time-zones-sort-descending)

Can you try that and see if that does what you expect?
