A stock-tracker using Qt and C++

Installation instructions

1. Install Qt-core, Qt-network in your OS. Make sure the paths are available to CMake (PATH variable).
2. Run cmake
3. Obtain free API keys from alphavantage and finnhub.
4. Run the program and put the keys in the boxes found in settings and save the settings.
5. Now you can enjoy using the program to see stock data and stock plots, as well as the starting heatmap.

To-do

• Cross button for stocks (deletes from memory but not from database?) DONE

• Delete button for stocks (deletes from memory and from database) DONE

• Improve X axis manipulation. Maybe a time scroller? Done

• Fetching notification only during fetching, not require click. Doing (also notification when deleted, only appear in the bottom right) DONE

• Rate limit calculations, tracking and message to avoid, but override. Doing Partially done, only thing left is what we do with exceeded rate limits. Nothing for now, DONE

• Separate thread for fetching each (reason for queues apart from rate limits) and processing. DONE

• Waiting timer for historical request in bottom left, while the other progress bars are in the right? If possible NO

• When writing another historical request to queue and it is stuck in the queue, check if time is gone, if not emit. If time is gone, ignore. DONE

• Store API keys in settings, dialogue box window (settings) to add them when not found at first. Move the key code to mainwindow, and to the datafetcher we just give the keys directly. DONE

• Settings functional for api keys for now. DONE

• Semi Frequent storage of settings. DONE

• Load json from API query for history (try to make it a rich query, intra and interday) DONE

• Heatmap fetch all quotes at startup DONE

• When swapping between charts, keep the scale stored

• When clock counter is 0, it should show how many requests we have left.

• Settings or option to switch from INTRADAY to DAILY. Maybe DAILY is better, or INTRADAY? interval between datapoints settings, Alpha Vantage. Plotting and others does not change bc we were always storing the timestamp.
