Thanks for your contribution. Ideally the examples in the parser configurations should also be updated to match the simplified config.
According to https://eslint.org/docs/latest/extend/plugins#configs-in-plugins, the languageOptions can also be configured that way, so if we change this we should probably also simplify those settings.
Not sure when I get to make the next major release, so I'd be happy to add the additional configs until then.
