KiwiSDR external reference frequency

Erwin (de F/PE3ES) edited this page Apr 18, 2024 · 1 revision

To make the frequency of the KiwiSDR more stable it is possible to insert an external frequency reference. You can use a Bodnar or an RFZero or other external solutions. There are some settings in the Admin interface / Config Tab that need to be done to make this work:

The result can be seen on this page on the Admin interface / GPS Tab

The original 'best' external frequency setting was 66.66 MHz which has to do with the way the system is calculating and creating the derived frequencies.

Since KiwiSDR software version v1.649 the best setting is 66.672 MHz.
