I think we can't use such a regex by default. This is a convention used in osado (and used as a default suggestion), but we shouldn't hardcode this in the editor.
I was recently thinking about making it configurable per openQA instance.
Strictly, it should be even per respository/distri. We could look something up in a config file of the git repository...

Have you checked that one can actually create a needle without timestamp?

Also this might not necessarily be something that we need/should always enforce for every use of openQA

Yes. That's the problem I'm fixing 😛

I'm filing a follow-up ticket as discussed in the estimation. This is only a proof of concept.
