  • that is very interesting. I am assuming it is an opt-in program/service

  • 00:28:07 Andrew Glass Hastings (OMF): Love the idea of community use cases coming out of Boston’s SMART Grant project!

  • 00:28:24 Eli Silvert (Tow Zone Alerts): towzonealerts.com 🙂

  • 00:28:56 Mike Potter - AppyWay: For general awareness the link below is to a public facing interactive map that was created as part of our PoC project with NYC earlier this year. This project aimed to digitise an area of NVC curbside… should you have any questions on the project do let me know via [email protected]. The data created can be made available via API to third party stakeholders, this could be for enforcement purposes or for solutions mentioned above such as ParkClear or Tow Zone Alerts

  • 00:29:03 Andrew Glass Hastings (OMF): Some times you don’t know the potential of the data until it is made available. This is the strength behind CDS!

  • 00:29:07 Eli Silvert (Tow Zone Alerts): Replying to "Nice to be here! I c..."

  • Indeed it is!

  • 00:30:19 Elias Khoury - San Jose DOT: Replying to "Nice to be here! I c..."

  • Also offer reminders for street cleaning / occupancy permits in Cambridge, Somerville, and Chelsea MA. Peer alerts work independent of location though. We offer bumper stickers so people can flag that their vehicle is in the peer system.

  • 00:34:50 Eli Silvert (Tow Zone Alerts): Reacted to "For general awarenes..." with 👍

  • 00:35:04 Michael Schnuerle (OMF): This is interesting, especially some of the special curb and ROW uses like parklets, bus stops, electric bays, cycle rental, permitted use, curb cuts, and crosswalks/ped crossings. Are you outputting these and the rest in a CDS formatted API?

  • 00:37:37 Mike Potter - AppyWay: Replying to "For general awarenes..."

  • NYC requirements differed from CDS so the API for NYC is specific to NYCs needs but is built on the same attribution as CDS :-) I hope that helps

  • 00:38:14 Aylene McCallum (OMF): Reacted to "For general awarenes..." with 👍

  • 00:38:24 Rick Neubauer (Umojo): How accurate is the assets to lat/long you generate?

  • 00:42:15 Michael Schnuerle (OMF): Replying to "For general awarenes..."

  • Would love to know what is different in NYC so we can make sure CDS can support it. I feel like CDS can support all of this, except for crosswalks, which some cities and companies are working on bringing into CDS. Open an issue here or send an email with what you need! https://github.com/openmobilityfoundation/curb-data-specification/issues/new?template=feature-request.md

  • 00:48:25 Elias Khoury - San Jose DOT: over 22k curb zones, how is a curb zonwe defined?

  • 00:48:26 Andrew Glass Hastings (OMF): Make sense!

  • 00:49:03 Andrew Glass Hastings (OMF): Love this!

  • 00:51:29 Brian Hamlin | Seattle DOT: Sadly our APIs were not public for terribly long because our SMART stage 1 was wrapping up. Looking forward to having a lot more of our curb zone data available as we ramp up Stage 2 project in 2026
