This is VERY untested..

Status
It looks good but

• Say isnt even being called in a standard test script. I cant figure out why
• I've added a bunch of debug print lines to get to the bottom of it - but cant figure it out.
• There are some issues with the GH action/and having to install a big bunch of dependencies. I didnt have this locally but that may be because I already have the releveant dependencies already installed. Or its a runner issue..

This last point may be a reason to hold all this work because if its needing so much dependencies i imagine it could be a reason to not go much further with it.
