Get gmx running on Franz

Hi @oliver-gramberg,

I just found your "recipe for gmx" on Franz. However, I have absolutely no idea of programming. Could you please explain me - a complete washout - how to get your code running in franz?

Hi As long as (forever?) this recipe (as many other contributed ones) is not made official, you have to run it in developer mode (see https://github.com/meetfranz/plugins/blob/master/docs/integration.md). Short version: Open a command prompt (you can also search for a directory named “Franz” in Windows Explorer and work with that from there) and check that Franz is installed at the expected location:

echo %appdata%

- tells you where your system stores your applications’ data.

dir %appdata%\Franz\recipes\

- should list your installed official recipes. Create a directory for non-official recipes:

md %appdata%\Franz\recipes\dev

Extract the attached zip into that new directory, such that you get …\Franz\recipes\dev\recipe-gmx\ with some four files in it. If there is no zip attached, then GitHub mail has deleted it; please reply with your e-mail address, so I can send it to you directly. Restart Franz; find GMX in Franz at Services > Add Service … > Available services > Development (not sure, mine is German: Dienste > Dienst hinzufügen > Verfügbare Dienste > Entwicklung). Note 1: You may want to click Services > Add Service … > Available service > Missing a service? (Dienste > Dienst hinzufügen > Verfügbare Dienste > Fehlt ein Dienst?), request GMX as a service and leave a note that there is an implementation queued for release already ;-) Note 2: Your pull request on GitHub indicates that you want to merge the code for the recipe for GMX back to the one for Gmail. I believe that that is wrong to do and that you created that PR by mistake. If so, please remove it. (Need helpwirh that?) Regards Oliver
