INSERT commands (rather than COPY, which is the default for pg_dump) is more like logical backup, and its grep-able
Off cause it is painfully slow on restore, but it can be useful in some cases.
Consider the need to restore specific subset of data or export database in test environment with non-PostgreSQL DBMS.
