If found it inscrutable that the Cookbook forced source compilation despite an extensive library of pre-compiled Server packages available from the official repository. Since much of server_source.rb has nothing to do with source code compilation and properly belonged in _common, I moved those sections.
This PR is more of a prep and cleanup for the forthcoming server_prebuild.rb and the addition of it's attributes.
