this doesn't work because it doesn't use the normal spec/status model;
specwhich kopium uses as the entrypoint for the CRDspecswhich kopium doesn't handle..this might need a restructure of how we allow derive CustomResource because we cannot accommodate any arbitrary fields on the wrapper struct from kube-derive if the struct is generated :(
