Prerequisite on macOS

Download GCC for ARM and QEMU

Step 1 - Install Homebrew

Step 2 - Install GCC Arm Toolchain and QEMU

brew tap PX4/homebrew-px4
brew update
brew install gcc-arm-none-eabi-49
brew install qemu

How to run and debug on macOS

James:~/LambKernel ► make
James:~/LambKernel ► make qemu-gdb

*** Now run 'arm-none-eabi-gdb'.
***
qemu-system-arm -kernel kern/kernel.elf -machine realview-pb-a8 -cpu cortex-a8 -nographic -monitor null -serial null -semihosting  -S -gdb tcp::25501

Using arm-none-eabi-gdb to attach process in another terminal:
