I've tried via email to contact anyone with any history in this module who has a Grafana email / link to the Grafana company and never received a response. I would suggest this module is dead and needs to be forked and moved under an active orginisation such as voxpupuli. I'd started some work on it a few months ago to try to bring a few things up to date, but having failed to get any response from Grafana it seemed pointless to continue without forking / ownership change.

Given that promtail is EOL and no longer under development. A grafana alloy module would be best probably.
