This is to make sure that projects that use this library can validate when using phpstan.

Hi!
Thank you for your contribution, I appreciate it.
However, I won't be merging this because next release will ditch completely PHPDoc and it isn't really worth releasing a new fix version just for some comments, sorry.
Type hinting will not rely on PHPDoc as I drop support for PHP 5.4 and embrace modernity ;)

@gasparesganga Is a new version still in the works? This is still an issue for me currently.

Yes, it is. But since it is a fairly big release (almost a rewrite) I am having issues finding the time to finalize it...
In the meantime, current release is 100% bug-free and reliable, all corporate users are not reporting any issue (this in particular is just related to PHPDoc, not the code itself).

@gasparesganga What is the status of the release of the new version? If it can be useful in any way, I am happy to test it.
