For Windows, run commands with PowerShell -Command and the window the command runs in hidden. I've tested this running backups with hooks and it seems to work.
Also default the executable to "./restic" as Windows shells typically don't search the current directory. This default can still be overridden with the --restic-bin flag.
Should have no effect on other platforms.
