The flow rate for the gate valve formula should be implemented and made available in Charts.
The current volumetric rate is valid for choke valves and it requires a Cv curve. For gate valves, this does not require a Cv curve (much simpler) and can be easily implemented.

Added function for flow through gate valves

@simone, @skepticalcat , I expect this to need a few iterations. Mainly:

  1. Make sure we have defined the correct input parameters to the function
  2. Then verify the calculations are correct
  3. Add test cases.

yes. Why wasn't this closed before? I see there are some conflicts in the code.
