This project includes PCB design files for a small-sized probe that can be used for performing latency testing in video systems that combine cameras, displays and light sources. The probe includes two light-sensing elements and an accelerometer combined with an RP2040 MCU. The MCU can be programmed with firmware that reacts to the light pulses detected by the light-sensing elements, measures the time elapsed between pulses, collects the readouts and passes them to the PC or drives triggering signals for external equipment. By combining the IMU readouts, the probe can be used on a platform that moves with respect to the light sources. The mechanical outline for the probe has been optimized so that the probe can also be installed in extended reality (XR) glasses for measuring the XR display latency responses. The PCB design files were prepared in KiCad 9.x
