Some people would like to chase the latest version of every software they use, from Operating Systems, audio players, to Photoshops and even drives. But it is worth taking a look at your existing systems before making a lot of changes. This piece goes through a series of steps you could use to get the most value out of your current systems.
The advice seems to line up with the Modern tendency to distribute work onto multiple systems rather than relying on a singular central machine to handle everyhting, offloading work onto google drive sounds similar to ideas of Distributed processing or storing like Hadoop.
I agree with the opinion that some people "chase the latest version", but at the same time there's also inertia to make clients keep using the prior system with old habits, and then it will lead to extensions of the period of usage. Thus, we may consider integrating the latest tools into the system we already have to update it instead of replacing it.
