Ness-2-WIFI - Interface

This PCBA requires the NESS 2 Web API which is a Django based web application and exposes the NESS Security Panel DX8/16 to the user using a modern, easy to understand interface.

The PCB is pushed onto the Ness Serial and Reader header and connectes the NESS Security PCB to the internet using an ESP32 programmed in Arduino Studio.

Ness-Bridge Ethernet Interface

NESS offers an inhouse solution called Ness-Bridge Ethernet Interface but that will cost around $194.00. Feel free to have a look: https://smartness.com.au/106-014

Why not just buy the Ethernet Bridge from Ness?

Good question, but there are a few compelling reasons to build your own.

This DIY PCB costs around $30 total and gives you the flexibility to tinker, modify, or expand the setup as you see fit. Unlike the official Ness Ethernet Bridge, this version uses Wi-Fi instead of a physical Ethernet cable, which keeps things much tidier.

The server is based on Django and runs locally, and the accompanying web application to control your NESS Security System works on any device. It’s also significantly more responsive and bit as cluttered compared to the official Mezzo app.
