📦 RFID Inventory Management System

Automate and streamline your inventory control using RFID technology with Arduino ESP!

The RFID Inventory Management System is a smart embedded solution that leverages RFID tags and an RFID reader module to efficiently manage inventory operations.

🧠 How It Works

  1. Scan RFID tags using the RC522 reader.
  2. The ESP reads and processes the tag ID.
  3. The system matches the ID with the inventory database.
  4. Logs the event (entry/exit) with timestamps.
  5. Uploads data to a server.

🔌 Hardware Setup

Components Required:

  • ESP8266 or ESP32
  • RC522 RFID Reader
  • RFID Tags (13.56 MHz)
  • Jumper Wires
  • Breadboard or PCB

🛠️ Installation & Setup

1. Prerequisites

  • Install Arduino IDE
  • Add ESP8266 / ESP32 board via Boards Manager
  • Install required libraries:
    • MFRC522
    • SPI
    • WiFi

2. Upload Code

  • Connect ESP to your PC via USB
  • Select the correct board and port
  • Upload your firmware via Arduino IDE

  • Attach an RFID tag to each inventory item
  • Scan items during stock in/out operations
  • ESP logs and processes data
  • Realtime Changes in Dashboard
