Does this make sense?
W/o this change fences connect to void blocks and they shouldn't do that, that is my main concern.

What if we have fences connect in the same way that branches do, letting the player choose what connects and what doesn't?

I am looking forward to someone implementing that (although that might be confusing to players), but until then all I can offer is this PR. This is kind of important because you can't really make any structures with fences bcs they will look broken. This might be even patch material really.

I made it like that so fences connect to leaves.

Okay, so now we have a problem. Do we sacrifice a feature to implement a feature?

that is the question. fences in blueprints is certainly and important thing.

I can also check for some other parameter which is set to false on void i guess, like collide.

Nah, don't check a completely unrelated parameter.

Well, another option is to special case it

Maybe we could use transparent since we probably don't want fences to connect to transparent blocks?
