Ah, if we're thinking about changing this, then I think it would make most sense for somebody from the foundation board to be primary owner, especially for the legal and financial side. I'll brazenly suggest me ([email protected]) to be the primary owner and I'd expect other @NixOS/foundation board members to be okay with that too (and SC members?).

Fine with me. Do you want to discuss it with the other board members first before we move forward?

Yes, I think the proper thing is for the Foundation to have legal ownership, and to designate one or more people, probably directors, to hold whatever physical keys (passwords, email-based accounts, etc.) actually grant access.
