I seem to have requested that this PR is to merge 2 commits directly into master which obviously isn't right. It should have been to a new 2.0-preview branch but I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if I simply wasn't able to request that a new branch is to be created on the repository. |

I've done my best to match the style of the work done on the 2.0-preview branches of other repositories in the GoogleWebComponents and PolymerElements organisations as I'm not sure if anyone else is working on this at the moment.
