Hmm doesn't feel quite right yet. I'll take a look in the effect 4.0 repo where HttpApi is being updated.

Valid answer, I'm not not familiar enough with HttpApi to also get middleware and everything correct myself, so that's why I did it this way. Would love to see what you come up with Tim!
