Lead Infrastructure & Technology @ Axel Springer News Media Germany
I’m a technology-driven generalist with a sharp sense for product vision, technical excellence, and strategic development. Ever since my early success in the App Store – where an app I built reached #1 in all markets – I’ve continuously evolved: from indie developer to engineering leader, architect, and cloud infrastructure visionary.
What drives me is the passion for thoughtful, scalable solutions – whether it’s building wireless devices for construction site access systems, launching the civic streaming platform Demokratie Live, or developing a modern cloud platform like MaPS, now used by the majority of teams across Axel Springer News Media.
I strongly believe that technology can empower teams, unlock innovation, and connect people – when used wisely. That’s why I approach projects not only from a technical standpoint but also strategically, with a clear understanding of people, processes, and organizations.
- 🚀 A strong entrepreneurial mindset – turning ideas into real, lasting impact
- 🧭 Visionary thinking and the ability to execute in complex environments
- ☁️ Deep expertise in cloud, infrastructure, and software development
- 🌍 Experience leading and growing engineering teams
- 🤝 Intuition for when to lead, when to delegate, and when to dive in hands-on
Even within large organizations, I act with an entrepreneurial spirit: identifying opportunities, taking ownership, and pushing ideas beyond what’s expected. Whether I’m building a platform or shaping strategy, I think in products, value, and long-term impact. I don’t wait for permission – I take ownership and move things forward.
In my current role as Lead Infrastructure & Technology, I define the technical direction for infrastructure at Axel Springer News Media Germany. I focus on evolving the infrastructure platforms, bridging cloud and data center operations, and building resilient, future-ready technologies.
