Please, do not publish until updated AlmaLinux WSL images are realesed with firx for AlmaLinux/wsl-images#56

The new version will be available once this is merged microsoft/WSL#12828. Then we can merge it too.

I’m excited to share some great news for users running AlmaLinux OS on Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

You can now install AlmaLinux OS images directly via the **WSL CLI tool** - no extra configuration and no Microsoft Store is required. This change also makes it possible to install AlmaLinux on Windows Server, where the Store isn't available.

Can you clarify what you mean here? "... no Microsoft Store is required." Do you mean they don't need a store account?

Previously yes, AlmaLinux on WSL was available only via Microsoft Store. Now it can be installed via Windows Terminal/CMD/PowerShell via commands.

Okay, I think the right phrasing then is "without having to navigate the Microsoft Store interface to install it!"
