This repository contains a collection of com.apple.recovery.boot
folders for macOS versions ranging from OS X Lion (10.7) to macOS Sequoia (15.0).
It is intended for Hackintosh users who want to boot directly into macOS Recovery using Clover, OpenCore, or other compatible bootloaders.
Each folder contains the minimal set of files required for macOS Recovery to boot:
- OS X Lion (10.7)
- OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
- OS X Mavericks (10.9)
- OS X Yosemite (10.10)
- OS X El Capitan (10.11)
- macOS Sierra (10.12)
- macOS High Sierra (10.13)
- macOS Mojave (10.14)

- macOS Sequoia (15)
- Copy the
com.apple.recovery.boot
folder for your desired version to a partition or external disk. - Make sure that the folder com.apple.recovery.boot is at the root of a drive not in another folder for example usb/com.apple.recovery.boot it's good but usb/randomfolder/com.apple.recovery.boot won't work. Also make sure that the partition where you put the folder com.apple.recovery.boot is formatted in fat32 or exfat or Apfs.
- Reboot and select the Recovery partition from OpenCore or clover.
- Make a hackintosh even if you have a usb key with little storage space.
- Access tools like Disk Utility, Terminal, or reinstall macOS.
- Useful for troubleshooting
