Django 5.0/5.1 support

We're thinking about using this in zulip/zulip.

Do you have plans to update this for Django 5.0/5.1? I imagine it might not actually require changes.

Hi Tim, thanks for reaching out! I appreciate your interest in using django-idempotency-key in Zulip.

I plan to release version 1.4.0, likely early next year, which adds Django 5.0 & 5.1 to the tox test cases as well as Python 3.12 & 3.13 support. The work is already available in this PR:

We're currently testing it with our systems to ensure stability before an official release.

Regarding your use case for Zulip, please note that this package is designed to be simple and lightweight. Updates primarily ensure compatibility with the latest Python, Django, and DRF versions, with a focus on addressing security issues if they arise. Our release cycle may not be very frequent, so please consider this when deciding to use it.
