Possible to prevent Mac from unlocking without trusted device present?

Is it possible/might BLEUnlock someday allow for the Mac to be unlockable unless the trusted device is in range?

I am thinking it could be useful to have my phone function like a security key. That way, even if someone were to see me type my password in, they would be unable to log in if I was not physically nearby with my phone.

I can foresee that this is a liability, e.g. if my trusted device was stolen, I'd have a bricked laptop. But if BU eventually can support unlocking with multiple trusted devices (phone, iPad, Apple Watch, etc.) that would be a reasonable risk level.
