Currently the sort [A-Z] is implemented like this:

https://api.topcoder-dev.com/v5/challenges/?status=Active&memberId=8547899&perPage=10&page=1&sortBy=name&sortOrder=asc&tracks[]=Dev&tracks[]=Des&tracks[]=DS&tracks[]=QA

sortBy=name&sortOrder=asc

Please let me know if there's counter part way to sort the challenges per the requests above.

Sorting is handled by ElasticSearch (https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.8/search-request-sort.html)
