I'm interested in using building a species checklist as presented in this guide. In particular, I would like to add conservation statuses from different sources and to record information about a taxon (i.e., if it's reproducing [or not], but not because it is an exotic species; if the species is migratory or not, etc.).
For the conservation status, here are the sources or complementary information interesting to add:
- NatureServe 'Global Conservation Status Ranks'
- The conservation status from a local government (based on some legislation)
- who is the authority on the conservation status
- Which government (federal, provincial, local, ...) or branch is the steward of that taxon.
Currently, I see that the threatStatus with examples "EX" "EW" "CR", which are the threat status defined by IUCN (https://www.iucnredlist.org/resources/categories-and-criteria see https://rs.gbif.org/extension/gbif/1.0/distribution_2022-02-02.xml)
Also, I'd like to record information about each taxon :
- Note if it's reproducing (or not) in the location
- Note if the species is migrating.
Thank you!
