Outputstructure from resource

Hi, In my api I have a getOperation which should return all the fields in the resource, as far as I can tell I have to generate a separate output structure containing all these items for me. This seems a little redundant? If I make a change to my resource now I will also have to make a change to the output structure? Is there any way to use the resource as an output structure?
