SIP features #4389

Hi, I'm currently running FreeSWITCH to provide a small phone service with traditional phones (using ATAs). FreeSWITCH is kicking my ass a bit, so I'm seeing that some XMPP servers, including ejabberd provide SIP support. But I find very few information on how it works. Particularly, can I use "numbers"? Right now I have a dialplan in my SIP system so 1000 is phone 1, 1001 is phone 2. Can I use SIP on ejabberd without using "named accounts"? Bonus question: would this interop with XMPP audio/video calls? It would be quite awesome if I could run a desktop client and take calls from the phones, or redirect calls from a phone to a desktop XMPP client. Would any XMPP Android apps support this? Cheers, Álex |
