Hi, If from a linux system I am getting

does this mean my university of Wyoming IP's are blocked? All of our users have this. Someone reported a correspondance with the PHOEBE team about a large number of queries to the PHOEBE server. I am asking our users to use PHOEBE_ENABLE_ONLINE_PASSBANDS=FALSE so that they use local passbands instead of a query from now on.

Is there a way to get unblocked? I am guessing our requests appear to come from a 172.26.xx.xx number

Can you access either https://tables.phoebe-project.org/info and/or http://tables.phoebe-project.org/info in a web browser?

If its in the same environment, it should be using the same logic/stack. But it doesn't sound like traffic is being blocked from the server-side, so I'm not sure what's going on. @aprsa - any other ideas?

In the meantime, you can always download and install the passbands manually from the website. The message you are seeing is otherwise harmless, but setting the env variable will skip waiting for the timeout so will save a few seconds on the import.

Ah, I see the problem. The phoebe vers '2.4.20' code is trying to contact http:// which fails, but the web browser defaults to https:// which works. Where do I find or change in the phoebe code the URL to include the "s"

we have a pending bugfix that will both fix this and let you swap out the URL - let me try to get that released sometime tomorrow

PHOEBE 2.4.21 is now released and should access the https version by default.

that's curious, we have a http forward to https automatically; I wonder what's blocking it. I'll try to reproduce and get back to you.
