Can not connective in Ubuntu

Hi, I try to install in Ubuntu by following the tutorials, but the UI cannot use launch phoebe, so that, I put some screenshot like below!

sorry to hear its still not working for you even on linux. We have made some progress towards updating the dependencies to hopefully avoid some of these conflicts (see #28), but I am not sure when we will be able to prioritize finishing that effort. Unfortunately my only advice until then would be to use the python package itself, which is much more actively maintained and there are tons of tutorials and example scripts to help get started. You also may find going through some of the archived workshops helpful.

I've run into the same issue as @tpos8.
After doing some light reading, I've found a temporary solution to the 'unsupported version of Socket.io...' in the form of simple package downgrading. I understand there are some backwards compatibility issues independent of phoebe itself causing all this, so in the meantime I can recommend setting phoebe up in a venv and forcibly downgrading the following packages to these versions:
python-engineio==3.13.2
python-socketio==4.6.0
Werkzeug==2.0.3
Flask==2.0.3
Flask-SocketIO==4.3.1
flask-cors==4.0.2

This has allowed me to connect the desktop UI to the local phoebe-server without further problems.
I don't have much experience in python (or Ubuntu for that matter), so I'm sure there are more elegant workarounds to be had, but this got the job done in my case, and hopefully helps other users who might've run into this problem.
