git bash, windows 10, read-only file system error

When attempting to run the init shell script in git bash it immediately returns the following error.
/c/www/vagrant-magento/scripts/output_functions.sh: line 184: /dev/fd/62: Read-only file system

I can't find any other info on the error and it doesn't look like an issue has been raised for a similar issue before.
