I did state in the winning blog post that Qadiany's app was the runner up entry. I really liked it, but there were two factors that helped the winner: he received a lot more Stars than all the others + his app was posted on the Google Play Store which was listed as potential bonus in the initial challenge post. Those two factors played a large role in his win. It would actually be pretty difficult not to make him the winner in that scenario. (74 stars to Quadiany's 16) His app was really strong too with sound effects, animation, customizations... HemulGM had 44 stars and his app was pretty polished, but I still said Qadiany was runner up because his app was so good. To be honest, I wanted Abrito's app to win as I just really like his submission, but I tried to be objective about it. As far as second/third place - that might be possible in the future. I just asked yesterday on the private MVP forum if any tech partners would like to provide prizes for future challenges (I did get a response already where they are giving a free license to the next challenge winner.) Perhaps if I get some additional third party vendors involved, there could be free licenses for 2nd and 3rd place. |
