The OPA Envoy Plugin is popular with users of Istio, which has now released a new dataplane mode called Ambient. Ambient is been in beta for several years and is now GA.

I've previously documented that Istio Ambient and OPA Envoy Plugin work well together, and we should add some tests covering OPA Envoy Plugin in Ambient mode too.
