Possibility to swap git status with jujutsu status?

Hi,
The title pretty much says it all. I love using NeoTree, but I am progressively making a switch to jujutsu and I'd like to swap the status (added, modified, deletec,..) of files in the main explorer to come from jj rather than git. Happy to code it myself, but I don't know how to layer it in? Is the only path a full custom source?
