Update the snap package on the Snap Store

Unfortunately, MuseScore Team are not engaged in the release of other packages other than those listed in the releases. This is done by third-party people at their discretion

Are you sure this is not maintained by musescore? The verified flag we receive in our store indicates that this publisher is a verified publisher. In this case it would be a bug then?

Yes, we are sure that the snap package is not maintained by the MuseScore in-house team (and only those do make and publish releases). And @igorkorsukov is from the in-house team.
Claiming otherwise on snapcraft.io seems a bug (and a serious one IMHO)

Sure. I'd already explained what the status was in this thread from 2 years ago, where in the latest message I wrote:

I think that the best would be for it to be taken over by @Snapcrafters as upstream is not really interested in having this.

But the main problem here is that, back in the day @thomasbonte verified the snap as coming from Musescore, that's why it shows like that on the store, but the Musescore team was never really interested in maintaining it.

I think he registered the MuseScore name in the snap store and it I was granted privileges (aka shared), so I could upload the snaps:

Anyway, it's pretty clear that this should either be:

1. moved to snapcrafters, if they are willing to maintain it
2. or removed from the store, as this is not maintained anymore.

I know that the app format is always a controversial topic. Snaps are the preferred package format in a default Ubuntu installation. Making it available as snap is the easiest way to get it directly to the average Ubuntu user.
Especially since we are currently (community) working on a new flutter based software store, making great use of the snap web apis.
