Hide merge commits from "changes since last review"

Like with the web view, changes from merge commits shouldn't be shown when viewing changes since the last review.

I would like to see this too. Whenever changes from main are merged into a current working branch, those changes then become noise within the view "Changes since last review." The PR Extension is unusable then. Because I don't want to use "review all changes" because I don't want to keep re-reviewing code changes I've already seen.

Yes, it's a pity that there is no such checkbox, it would be very convenient. I hope this will be added to github someday

why is this ticket so old and forgotten about? It literally blocks most of the reason to use this extension to begin with, since it clutters up the changed files so badly that reviewing from within VSCode becomes impossible after a "merge from main" to the feature branch you're reviewing.

Any plans to make the extension show the same view as Github web UI?
If it's too complicated to add a toggle to show "all changes" vs "since last review" vs "what was changed in this branch only", at least have the default show the same thing as Github Web UI from the "Files Changed" Tab.

on the branch i'm reviewing right now, there's only 6 files changed on the Github Web UI "Files Changed" tab, and 50 files in the "Chanegs in Pull Request" view in the extension. Thats A LOT of noise, and it's impossible to see which files are actually pertinent to the branch and what came from latest merge from main.

Agreed! This makes such a cool feature unusable the moment someone merges from main, what a pity it's being overlooked...
