Fixing Technical Debt in CI Pipelines

Following the discussions in #52 for PR #49 . Also refer the Project

This issue is created as a call to anyone wanting to fix these errors in the CI Pipeline of github workflows.
Right now the pipeline won't fail because of the continue-with-error flag. However we want to flip the switch on strict checks soon

Following pointers can be worked upon:

• Removing lint from the codebase - Fixing Lint in the code base #57
• Fixing type-checks in the codebase - Fixing Type Check Failure in the codebase #58
• Creating tests as no testcases are in place as of now - Creating tests for the codebase #59

Please claim the work here before starting so there's clarity and no cases of duplicate work, I'll also create sub-issues for each of the above that can be attached to your PR's
