Hi! I downloaded your app today and I really like it, but I would like to suggest a few improvements.

1. Need a way to hide the mini player that appears when you minimize the app to the bottom of the window. I understand that nothing bad will happen if you just ignore it, or close the app when the mini player remains inside the window. But it covers part of the useful area of ​​the window. So it would be great to add a cross button to the top right of the minimized player.

2. I noticed that when I open a video inside the app interface, the window always adjusts to the size and aspect ratio of the video. But if I open the same video from Windows Explorer, then if the current video is LESS resolution than the previously opened one, it will fit inside the app window with black bars.

Example: I open a 3840x2160 video from a Screenbox window. The video forces the window to take the shape of a 16:9 aspect ratio. Then I exit the Screenbox application, go to Windows Explorer, to my folder with the family video archive, and open an old 500x500 video there. This video will open with black bars on the sides. But if you open it inside Screenbox, it will open in a square window, without black bars.

I think the behavior of the application in both cases should be the same.

3. The equalizer option and the image settings (brightness, contrast and colors) are missing. Perhaps I did not find them.

4. I think it would be great to add a window with a preview of the video to the rewind bar, because now it is inconvenient to search for an interesting moment in a long film, playing individual segments instead of finding this moment using the mouse cursor without having to click the mouse.

5. I miss the application start setting - so that when launched, it opens the desired tab, and not the main page, as it happens now.

6. It would be great if we could add the option to create previews of videos and music files inside the application window based on posters and album covers of multimedia from Internet databases.

7. I noticed that if you collapse the sidebar with tabs, then when you close the application and then open it again, this panel expands again

8. I think it would be great to add an option to customize the view of the file list in the application window - list, small thumbnails, large, etc., sorting options (duplicate the functions of Windows Explorer)

Thank you for your feedback. I will consider these points for future updates

1. I will consider this. I think media control is essential and should always be visible. We could shrink the space usage somehow. I agree that it's taking quite a lot of vertical space.
2. That sounds like a bug. I will investigate.
3. Equalizer and image settings are not officially supported at the moment. You can directly interface with VLC to set these values through the advanced mode.
4. This feature is a significant technical challenge. I'm unsure how we can achieve this with VLC as the base.
5. Good news. There is a PR for this feature Add launch page settings #634
6. Any Internet-related features are not being worked on right now. The priority for Screenbox is to get all the essential media player features first.
7. The state of the sidebar does not persist between app launches. This is expected. The sidebar is supposed to be adaptive according to the window width.
8. I do plan to add more sorting options. Not sure about changing the thumbnail sizes as it might break page layouts.
