Most BI services can seamlessly connect to a database instance, thus the final solution is probably a proxy with a billing system and good documentation to allow a self-service implementation 3. This milestone also includes the creation of dashboards for measuring key Kadena KPIs that are going to be made public so that the Kadena team, builders, users, and investors can access high-quality data 4. We are also approaching Dune Analytics’ competitor flipside (https://flipsidecrypto.xyz/) to integrate their application with the BigQuery database so that the community can build, maintain, and access public dashboards for Kadena data

  • Create a scalable GraphQL API on top of the BigQuery database to serve the data to web applications Duration: 20 working days Additional information: 1. This phase encompasses the creation of a GraphQL API to serve data directly to end users. 2. It includes the creation of a billing system to create API keys and charge for their use. Integration with Tatum’s system is crucial here 3. It requires research of the Kadena builder ecosystem to map their main needs of data queries and create custom endpoints for them 4. It also includes the need to create technical documentation so that any developer can easily start working with Kadena.

  • Design and implement a new block explorer for Kadena. Powered by the public BigQuery (or similar) dataset. The explorer is going to be designed to maximize utility for end users with little to no knowledge about how a blockchain works -> This milestone has 2 separate deliverables: 1. Design: Deliver figma design for Explorer UI 2 Implementation: Deliver a working website implementing Figma UI and connecting to BigQuery data Estimated duration: 45 working days Additional information: 1. This phase requires the creation of the explorer website 2. The website is going to be focused on providing the best UX for end users who are interacting with Kadena 3. All data is going to be pulled directly from BigQuery

  • Implement ETL application to process streamed block data and load it to public BigQuery (or similar) tables. Must also include a public library so that other projects can also make use of the public bucket data. Estimated duration: 20 working days Additional information: 1. This phase requires the consumption of Blob data from an ETL pipeline which must then process the data and save it to BigQuery or a similar storage solution 2. These services should be built using cloud native auto-scaling applications that can graciously handle changes in network load and scale 3. This phase is also going to define the schemas for the BigQuery database. It is vital to design a usable and flexible schema that can generate value for the overall Kadena developer's community

  • Create a DevOps structure to manage running full nodes and stream their raw data to a S3 bucket Estimated duration: 20 days Additional information: 1. This phase requires the creation of an automated setup to deploy, monitor and handle failures in the Node, Indexer and Storage services. 2. These services are likely to be deployed using a cloud provider and it is necessary to architect a custom solution to handle possible problems such as node failures, network upgrades, redundancy for node and indexer, optimizations of infrastructure costs, etc. 3. It is key to be able to deploy an autoscaling application that can graciously handle flaws and reduce the time required to bootstrap a new node in case of unpredictable failures. 4. It is also key to structure the storage in a way that is easy and cheap to consume
