GitLab submodules (simple-knn, SIBR_viewers) unreachable due to gitlab.inria.fr downtime

Hi, and thanks for maintaining this project!

It seems that gitlab.inria.fr (which hosts the simple-knn and SIBR_viewers submodules) has been down for over a week, making it impossible to clone these submodules.

Using GitHub Desktop to clone works for me, simple_knn is included in the project file

I've forked simple-knn and sibr_core in my github. If the site still down (which is true for me now), you can clone full gaussian-splatting with the following commands

git clone https://github.com/graphdeco-inria/gaussian-splatting.git
cd gaussian-splatting
sed -i 's|https://gitlab.inria.fr/bkerbl/simple-knn.git|https://github.com/jteng2127/simple-knn.git|g' .gitmodules
sed -i 's|https://gitlab.inria.fr/sibr/sibr_core.git|https://github.com/jteng2127/sibr_core.git|g' .gitmodules
git submodule update --init --recursive
