I’m wondering if anyone here has started working on a backend for Lattice?

No, Lattice doesn't have an HLS compiler of their own, so there's nothing to build the backend around. Catapult HLS is vendor-agnostic and we have a backend for it, perhaps it can be used if you know how to use Catapult and have the license.
