How would you go about fetching data to a slider[x] only when the slider index is visible?

E,g, slider position is 5, but I don't want to start loading data inside the slider 5-component until slider 5 is visible.
I tried to log currentSlide with no success, but this variable is going to be deprecated anyway.

Couldn't I use isInViewport inside the component itself?

Or otherwise some new state for current Slider.
