BLE-based commissioning (and discovery) has already been noted in the main Matter support feature request (link). However, this separate feature request is being created to help reduce the load on the already extensive main thread.

Is this request specific for the ESP32 with Bluedroid to support CHIPoBLE in order to make it work with WiFi commissioning within MAtter, right?

I have already tried to achieve it.
espressif/esp32-arduino-lib-builder#280

As far as I remember, the ESP32 execution failed with low memory when trying to start Bluredroid Stack.

A possible way to achieve it is by building the Matter ESP32 application using Arduino as IDF Component instead of using the Arduino IDE that has pre-compiled IDF and Matter static binary libraries.

In such case, it would be necessary to enable NimBLE for the ESP32 and use similar Matter sdkconfig setting as defined in
