We have temporarily rolled the floating tags back to 3.21 due to an incompatibility between CosmosDB and OpenSSL 3.5. See the announcement for more information. The tags will be moved back to 3.22 once the issue is resolved. At this time, there are no planned changes to the above schedule for end of maintenance for Alpine 3.21 images. If the CosmosDB + OpenSSL 3.5 issue is not fixed by August 12th (1 month before the planned end of maintenance for Alpine 3.21 images), then we will re-visit that schedule. |

In June 2025, Alpine 3.22 container images were published. For this week's July 2025 release, we have updated all Alpine floating tags to target Alpine 3.22 instead of Alpine 3.21 according to our tagging policy.
Per the .NET Docker platform support policy, Alpine 3.21 images will no longer be maintained starting on September 9, 2025 (3 months after Alpine 3.22 images were released).
Details
Please review the Alpine 3.22 changelog for more details on changes that were made in this version of Alpine.
The affected floating tags use this naming pattern:

)<version>-alpine-<variant>
(e.g.9.0-alpine-extra
)<version>-alpine-<arch>
(e.g.9.0-alpine-amd64
)<version>-alpine-<variant>-<arch>
(e.g.9.0-alpine-extra-amd64
